Between the islands.
Internet has been a bit difficult here in the Land of the Long White Cloud. Not only that, but today when I popped open my blog to update it, I was informed that it had been taken down due to a breech of the terms of service. (Um, what?) Honestly, that's no big deal - I'll just try to adapt. Thankfully Kels and John have stayed on top of their photos and trip reports, so if any family or friends are curious about NZ, they can go look at their skillful writing and artful photography, and be fully satisfied.
I know, an arms-length selfie has no place in an art project, but I'm allowing it because I love the ocean. It was only a ferry between the NZ islands, but water and boats have always been so alluring to me. And terrifying. Seriously, I can't breathe underneath that blue stuff.
I've updated my website as best I can, so if anyone wants to see 1,000 photos of baby seals, pop on over to the South NZ section. :D
And, I want to thank everyone again for reaching out to me over the recent passing of my Grandmother. She was really a character, and I know what she'd want me to do is keep traveling and smiling. She was never one to mope for long, and few things made her happier than art. So, I'll keep photographing the things that I wish she was here to paint; always being inspired by her spunk, talent and determination, while being empowered by her love and encouragement. My grandparents left me with so many sweet gifts, I'm just so thankful God put them in my life! Way to lead by example, Abuela. Wish I could share one more set of photos with you!
Thank you all for supporting me! I have to openly admit it - New Zealand has been a wonderful adventure!
